Banyan’s Senior Services is part of a network of Community Support Services (CSS) that provide a broad range of services to support individuals of all ages in their homes and communities. These services are dedicated to providing compassionate quality care that promotes independence for the people we serve.
Community Support Services are for people who need support to maintain their independence as a result of an illness, disability, injury or limitation due to aging. These services help people remain at home for as long as possible and keep connected with their community. Community support agencies provide compassionate and personalized services in order to enhance self-confidence and promote independence.
Banyan’s Grocer-Ease program has been providing grocery shopping services since 1986. This program is specifically designed to support older persons and adults with disabilities to stay in their homes independently through the provision of regular grocery shopping services.
Funded through Ontario Health – Home and Community Care Support Services, Grocer-Ease currently implements aspects of the Excellent Care for All Act (ECFAA), to ensure a strong quality improvement program. This includes putting an annual quality improvement plan in place and making it available to the public.
